The first round of cutting boards were made from a decades worth of hardwood remnants from the late George Nieshe. George is the grandfather of Skagit Wood Design’s owner Derek.
Additional cutting boards are being made from made from remnants of wood from high end cabinet makers in Washington and Oregon.
All cutting boards are original works and vary in size, thickness, and wood species.
